Oatmeal is one of my go-to breakfasts. It’s filling, healthy, and you can add so many different toppings to it! You can make it decadent, light, sugary, sweet, whatever your heart desires! Of course, it can take some time to make, and if you’re like me you usually just end up rolling out of bed, throwing on some clothes and rushing out the door without giving breakfast a second thought until you see the nearest fast food sign.
Breakfast is THE most important meal of the day. It sets your entire day up and really dictates whether or not you’ll be able to stick to your diet. Prepping your breakfast tonight will make for a smoother morning tomorrow. With just a few minutes and a handful of ingredients, you can have delicious SunButter and jelly oats waiting for you in the refrigerator to eat at home or grab and go.
1 cup steel cut oats
1 cup Macadamia Nut Milk or Almond Milk
1 Tbsp. Chia Seeds
4 Tbsp. Sunbutter
4 Tbsp. of your favorite fruit spread
- In two jars, divide oats, chia seeds and nut milk. Swirl in Sunbutter; top with jelly. Refrigerate overnight to set.
- Serve with fresh fruit, nuts or granola.
Note: You can add any fruit, nut butters, jams, or spices to your jar. Whatever flavor you’re going for!
